Per una volta cominciamo dalla fine, dal sentito applauso del pubblico bolognese tributato a Veronica Perna e compagne.
Nonostante la sconfitta 7-11 con Trieste, che sancisce la retrocessione della Rari Nantes in A2, il pubblico bolognese ha voluto salutare le proprie ragazze con un caloroso applauso, a ringraziarle nonostante la stagione no, dell’impegno e della costanza dimostrata, anche se ciò non mitiga l’amarezza per la retrocessione.
Il ko con Trieste chiude un’annata storta, iniziata con la promozione in A1, ma anche con una rifondazione della squadra resasi necessaria per l’addio del gruppo storico e condita anche da tanti infortuni che hanno privato ad esempio coach Posterivo di Lekness e di Musso per larghi tratti della stagione.
Spalle al muro e con l’unico obiettivo da centrare che era la vittoria, le Rarigirls con Trieste hanno provato a gettare il cuore oltre l’ostacolo, ma alla fine si sono arenate di fronte alla solidità della formazione giuliana.
Peccato perché l’obiettivo almeno di accedere ai playout era nelle corde delle bolognesi, ma si sa quando un’annata inizia male a volte può finire peggio e così purtroppo è stato.
Rimane il rimpianto di non essere riusciti, durante tutta la stagione, a dimostrare in vasca tutto il proprio valore, ma anche la consapevolezza di poter ripartire da un gruppo che trova linfa vitale dalle ragazze del proprio settore giovanile tante delle quali quest’anno hanno fatto il loro esordio in A1.
